Terms of work

01Who these terms are between

These terms apply to every project with Tatiana Digital, a design studio run by Tatiana as a sole trader in the United Kingdom (“I”, “me”), and you, the client. Your written quote or proposal sits alongside them. If the two ever disagree, the quote wins.

By accepting a quote or paying the first invoice, you agree to these terms.

02Quotes and prices

• The price calculator on my site gives an estimate, not a quote. After we talk, I send a written quote with the scope, price and timeline.
• A quote is valid for 30 days.
• I’m not VAT registered, so there’s no VAT on top.
• The launch discount applies to one-off work quoted and accepted by 31 December 2026. It doesn’t apply to monthly care plans.
• Some things are paid to other companies, such as your domain, hosting, paid plugins, fonts, stock images or a booking or payment service. These are in your name and paid by you, unless your quote says otherwise.

03Payment

• 50% of the project price is due before I start. It books your place in my schedule.
• The remaining 50% is due before the site goes live or before I hand over final files.
• Larger projects, such as web products and apps, can be split into stages. The stages are set out in your quote.
• Invoices are due within 14 days by bank transfer.
• If an invoice is late, I may pause work until it’s paid. For business clients, I may also add statutory interest and compensation under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

04How we work

• Timelines in your quote assume feedback and content arrive when we’ve agreed. If they’re late, the timeline moves by the same amount.
• You provide the content you’re responsible for: text (unless you’ve booked copywriting), photos, logos and any logins I need. You confirm you have the right to use everything you send me.
• If a project is paused on your side for more than 30 days, I may treat it as on hold. We’ll agree a new start date when you’re ready, which may depend on my schedule.
• I may use AI tools in my work, for example for product photos or first drafts. Every result is reviewed and finished by me.
• Everything you share about your business stays confidential. If you need a formal NDA, I’m happy to sign one.

Design only

If you’ve booked design without the build, I hand over finished design files and notes for your developers. How the final product is built, and how well it matches the design, is the responsibility of whoever builds it. I’m happy to answer your developers’ questions during the build.

05Changes and extra work

• Two rounds of changes are included at each design stage. A round is one set of feedback, sent together.
• Extra rounds, or work outside the agreed scope (new pages, features or a change of direction), are quoted before I start. Nothing extra is billed without your OK.
• Once you approve a stage, going back to change it counts as extra work.

06Who owns the work

• Once you’ve paid in full, you own the final approved designs, the site I built for you and your brand files.
• Until then, the work remains mine and you may not use it.
• Early concepts and options you didn’t choose stay mine.
• Third-party items, such as fonts, stock photos, plugins or code libraries, stay under their own licences.
• I may show the finished work in my portfolio and on social media, unless you ask me not to or we’ve signed an NDA.

07Care plans

• Care plans are paid monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time with 30 days’ notice.
• Essential: hosting (if your site lives with me), updates, backups, monitoring and small text or photo edits, up to about an hour a month. Replies within two working days.
• Plus: everything in Essential, plus up to three hours a month for changes, same or next working day replies, and a short monthly report.
• Unused hours don’t roll over to the next month. Bigger changes are quoted separately.
• If a care plan ends, I help move your site to you or to a new provider.

08Cancelling a project

• You can end a project at any time by telling me in writing. You pay for the work done up to that point, and the first 50% is non-refundable once work has started. You receive the work you’ve paid for.
• I can end a project if invoices go unpaid or if it becomes impossible to continue. If I do, you only pay for the work done, and I refund any payment for work not yet started.
• If you’re buying for personal use, not for a business: UK law gives you 14 days to change your mind after accepting a quote. If you’d like me to start sooner, just ask in writing. If you then cancel within those 14 days, you only pay for the work done so far.

09Responsibility

• I do my work with reasonable care and skill. If something I made doesn’t work as agreed, tell me and I’ll fix it.
• I’m not responsible for problems caused by third-party services, such as hosting outages, changes to platforms or plugins, or changes other people make to the site.
• I can’t guarantee specific results, such as search rankings or sales.
• For business clients, my total liability for a project is limited to the amount paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or liability that can’t be limited by law.

10The legal bit

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If we ever disagree, let’s talk first. Most things can be solved in a conversation.
